Uploader's Comment:

This is the re-issue of Globe GLO 5008 which at the time of its first release only
contained the complete Italian Song Book by Hugo Wolf (This upload also contains the booklet of this former release). Added to this are the solo recording of Elly Ameling with Rudolf Jansen of Wolf's Goethe and Keller-Lieder, recorded in about the same period, but originally released on Etcetera (KTC 1003). All are in new digital transfers.

Famous producer Klaas Posthuma, the man behind the Globe label, considered these recordings as some of the finest achievements in his catalogue.
